Movie Review: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1978)
Crap, but not good crap
It's meant to be ironic and spoofish. But many bad movies are good because the makers tried to make a good movie and ended up with "Plan 9...". This is just rubbish, low-brow, frat-house humour.
The bit where the scientist and army generals attempt to get into a tiny room is so deliberately awful that it's not worth your time to watch. As a spoof it fails, you have to take your audience a bit seriously at some stage, even if you want them to laugh. My 9 yr oldboy walked out while we were watching this!
Low-brow, unoriginal crap for the very lowest of tastes and humour. Watching a dog-poo rotting on your lawn is more fun, more educational and at least helps the environment.
Do GOOD bad film makers a favour and say Attack of the Killer Toms sucks. Basically, it fails on the comedy level, fails on the spoof level and fails on the "we tried to make a good movie but blew it" level. And then do yourself and your loved ones a favour, drop it in the bin.
